The coding world moves pretty fast. Since my last coverage of Laravel, Laravel Essentials, much has changed for the better. While plenty of that course still applies, a variety of adjustments and additions have been made to the framework. This course will get you up to speed on those changes as quickly as possible.

The highly anticipated update to PHP, version 5.4, was released on March 1st, 2012. As with each new major version, it introduced a variety of new features. Some of them are significant additions, while others are small, yet helpful, improvements.

Anna Mae always had a special voice. Soon after arriving in St. Louis to live with the mother who had walked out when she was small, the now teenage Anna soon attracts the attention of pop group leader Ike Turner. She becomes the band's singer, his wife, and mother to his children - not all hers. In love with Ike and determined not to leave in the way her mother had, she finds herself the target of increasing violence from her unstable husband who can't see who is making the band such a success.
